The Presidency Press Office issued the following statement:

“In response to the “Tweet” issued by MP Melhem Khalaf it is essential to draw the attention of Khalaf to the fact that the statement he referred to in his response confirms that the President of the Republic did not interfere in stopping the circular issued by the Central Bank Governor and therefore this “tweet” is valid as an argument against Deputy Khalaf and no one else.

The Presidency Press Office is concerned in this clarification response, and regrets the insistence on distorting facts”.
