The Insignia and Uniform of the Republican Guard
Insignia:
The insignia of the Presidential Guard Brigade consists of:
a- The Lebanese flag in the form of a shield:
The flag symbolizes legitimacy and the nation whereas the shield symbolizes protection.
b- A wreath composed of two fronds of laurel and oak leaves:
The laurel symbolizes victory, and the oak permanence and pride.
c- Two crossed swords:
The swords represent decisiveness and authority.
d- The background of the insignia is a shield colored navy blue:
The navy blue is the color of the Republican Guardians.
The Lebanese flag is in the middle of the insignia, the two swords in its background, the wreath surrounding it; above it are inscribed the words "Republican Guard".
